OverviewCentral Valley Gas Storage, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of AGL Resources Inc. (NYSE: GAS), is now offering storage services at its market area natural gas storage facility in the Sacramento River valley of north-central California. Central Valley will be providing up to 11 Bcf of working gas capacity, offering flexible, high-deliverability multi-cycle services and hub services. The facility is interconnected with the gas transmission system of Pacific Gas and Electric.
Central Valley has obtained a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) from the California Public Utilities Commission. The facility began providing firm and interruptible services to wholesale natural gas shippers in April of 2012.
Central Valley Gas Storage (CVGS) will be accepting non-binding requests for up to 3.0 million dekatherms of firm 2 turn storage capacity at its facility near Sacramento, California.
Non-binding requests will be accepted from 10:00 a.m. CST Thursday, February 14,2013 through 5:00 p.m. CST on Wednesday, February 20, 2013. The capacity will be available April 1, 2013.
CVGS provides storage and hub services directly at the PG&E Citygate.
